1/16 Ford 7600 Tractor 1975. Made by Universal Hobbies. Features steerable front wheels, 3 point hitch, opening bonnet, precision detail. Does not attach to any implements. Only 1000 have been made of this special "Launch Edition". This tractor is 240mm long, 120mm wide & 150mm high.

In the early 1970s, Ford were one of the more pro-active tractor companies to embrace the new emission & operator comfort requirements being introduced, not just in the UK but in many parts of the world.
At the 1975 Smithfield Show Ford launched the 7A range. At first glance the 7A looked almost identical to the outgoing 6Y range, however under the skin many changes were made. The engine benefited from new cylinder head design, revised pistons, new air intake & a twin inlet turbocharger which all helped with the 97 bhp which was pretty impressive for the day. A revised silencer system helped with lower noise level, an eight-speed transmission, Dual Power & an improved electrical system completed the package.
The Ford 7600 7AI was produced for 6 months exactly as shown at the Smithfield Show, after which a Q cab was fitted as standard & the revolution was under way.
